Centurion Safety Products recently welcomed Roy Wilders of the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) to our Thetford headquarters as part of the annual Registered Safety Supplier Scheme (RSSS) assessment process.
During the visit, Roy met with Samantha Austin and Mary Patterson to complete all aspects of the annual assessment, reaffirming Centurion’s ongoing commitment to product quality, compliance, and responsible safety leadership within the PPE industry.
Alongside the formal assessment, discussions focused on the evolving standards surrounding industrial safety helmets particularly the latest developments relating to EN 397 and EN 50365. These changes are especially important for organisations selecting head protection that offers electrical hazard protection in demanding industrial environments.
The meeting also highlighted a growing concern across the industry: the increasing number of suspect and non-compliant PPE products entering the market. Counterfeit or poorly certified products present significant risks not only to wearers, but also to employers and distributors responsible for ensuring workers are properly protected.
At Centurion Safety Products, we believe that robust certification, rigorous testing, and transparent supply chains are essential to maintaining confidence in workplace safety equipment. As a long-standing BSIF Registered Safety Supplier, we remain committed to helping customers navigate changing standards while ensuring they have access to trusted, compliant PPE solutions.
Roy Wilders commented on the importance of continued industry collaboration and awareness around evolving standards and product compliance, particularly as businesses face increasing pressure to verify the integrity of their PPE supply chains.
Centurion Safety Products would like to thank Roy Wilders and the BSIF team for their continued support and partnership in promoting higher standards across the UK safety industry.
